Algamdulilah, the last day of 2020 is finally here, and what a year it’s been! We’ve learned so much from you 2020, and you have shown us different ways of doing things! You have taught us what we need, and more importantly, what we don’t need. You have shown us that tomorrow is not guaranteed and that we should make the most of today. You have shown us that our health and having a strong immune system is our most precious and prized possession. You have taught us that we should be grateful for the small things in life, the things we take for granted every day. You have taught us that we should be thankful for everything we have – every relationship we have. You have taught us that only the Almighty is in control of everything and that only in Him should we rely on. You have taught us so many lessons, and we thank you!
Let us remember and not forget the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles passed on during this pandemic. We keep in our thoughts those affected financially by losing their jobs, forced closure of businesses and industries due to the pandemic. May 2021 brings ease during these trying times. May the numbers decrease, and may we always all be comforted and protected.
I’m grateful for our family and friends who regularly check in on us, for our health and safety, for being protected, and for all the small things that make up the big things.
I want to salute all our frontline workers putting their lives at risk to save others, working tirelessly and unselfishly to serve others! All hospital workers, nurses, doctors, hospital cleaners, radiologists, cashiers, packers, childcare minders, those providing food and essentials to the less fortunate, etc., you guys are the real heroes! Including every person adhering to the lockdown rules – together, we will get through this.
To everyone in South Africa – may you guys overcome the second wave, stay safe, stay indoors, and may you all stay under His protection always!
Au Revoir 2020 – 2021 bring it on – in love, light & happiness!
