Cooking Tutorial: How to make an easy no stress, super quick chicken pasta dish πŸ˜‹ This dish is my go to when I don’t feel like spending lots of time in the kitchen. Any pasta dish is a win in my household πŸ’“

Quick chicken pasta dish

🌟 I used leftover chicken fillets – this dish is perfect for using leftovers and not letting anything go to waste! You can easily use prawns and change your choice of veggies to compliment your dish πŸ˜‹

Ingredients: 

2/3 chicken fillets

Little butter & oil 

1 onion

Half green pepper

Half red pepper 

Half punnet (or less) mushrooms 

1 teaspoon garlic powder – 

you can use fresh garlic if you prefer

1 teaspoon koljana spice

1 or 2 teaspoons chicken spice 

Half teaspoon crushed chillies – 

you can add fresh or omit this 

1 teaspoon paprika (I used a Kefta spice) 

salt & pepper to taste

250g of the pasta of your choice – 

I used penne pasta 

3 tablespoons cake flour 

2 teaspoons maizena 

Handful of parsley 

Handful of cheese

Method:

  1. Chop all your veggies and add this to your pot with butter and oil & let this braise for about 10 minutes
  2. Add your spices and little water and mix this through 
  3. Add this stage add your pasta to water with a little bit of oil and salt until it’s al dente 
  4. I used left over chicken fillets but at this stage cut your fillets into bite size pieces and add it into your onion mixture and mix through – let this cook until chicken is nice and tender 
  5. Drain your pasta and add this to your pot and include from the pasta water
  6. Mix cake flour and maizena with water (let it be a running consistency) and add this to your pot
  7. Mix everything together and see the magic happen
  8. Add handful of cheese to make a nice cheesy sauce
  9. Add parsley and then serve up!
